This score made an impression on me immediately when I watched the show. It stands out; not in a distracting way, but rather a complementary one. It’s marked by its now-iconic motif played on the recorder in the track “Way Back Then,” as well as the motif characterized by simple vocalizations in “Pink Soldiers.” Some traditional Korean instruments were used in the score, such as the Daegeum, and the Janggo drum. The show also included some classical music pieces that are not on the OST. The score traverses a variety of emotions, from eerie ambient moments in “Delivery” and “Dead End,” to simple yet emotionally potent moments, such as in “I Remember My Name.” Personally, I think this score is fantastic, although only certain tracks would be frequent listens of mine, primarily because of the more eerie, ambient nature of many of them.
