I was pleasantly surprised by the emotive soundtrack! The first track, “Carolina,” is a hauntingly beautiful song by Taylor Swift with a folk-y sound to it. The soundtrack itself has quite a bit of emotional depth with violins, sometimes accompanied by plucked banjo and guitar, that bring to mind rural life. Composer Mychael Danna also incorporates chimes and bells, which evoke a sense of calm – with a few haunting moments. Many tracks feature quite peaceful motifs, and a few have melancholic undertones with piano and harp instrumentation.
