Review
Flowing strings (mostly cello) set a slightly dark tone early on in this soundtrack, and the track “Ask the Saints” has a beautiful and slightly haunting violin solo. Later tracks have some tender themes, with an air of melancholic beauty. One of my favorite tracks, “Royal Archives Heist,” features a fun motif with fast-paced strings and heist-like elements (if I remember correctly, it serves as the theme of the Crows in the show). Some tracks feature bells, while that haunting violin pops up from time to time, including in “Erase the Past.” We’re treated to some gorgeous emotional vocals in the track “Memories,” and soft piano in the beginning of “Helpful Goat,” which is soon followed by exciting strings. Overall, this is a solid score with some great themes! It doesn’t have any tracks that are too jarring, so it’d be a good one for background listening while writing or even on a road trip.
