I rather like the “Wednesday Main Titles” theme, with its harpsichord and gothic qualities, even if the show isn’t my genre of choice. Veteran Tim Burton collaborator Danny Elfman composed this score alongside Chris Bacon, and he definitely brings some solid themes to the mix. There’s a wide range of exciting tracks with plenty of harpsichord notes and some quirky fun. Among some entertaining “investigative” style tracks like “Wednesday on the Case” are more ominous and intense tracks that feature choral elements, percussion and strings. Overall, this was a pretty good listen and a lot of it makes for decent background music. I think fans of the show itself will have more appreciation for the themes here but I enjoyed it nonetheless. On a side note, there is a fun little homage at the 1:25 mark in the track “Wednesday End Titles,” so be sure to check that out!
