Review
This is a melancholic soundtrack with a hint of unease to it. It’s a bit minimalistic in nature, without a ton of variety between the tracks; plucked strings, lonesome bells, and dark tones make up the majority of the soundscape. From a purely listenability standpoint, this wasn’t really for me. It’s a bit too melancholic in an eerie sort of way, and it evoked a sense of unease as I listened. Granted, there are a couple of tracks that aren’t bad, like “ The Mystery of Inisherin,” but overall, this soundtrack had a sort of depressing nature to it. It probably works well for the film itself, but it’s not a soundtrack I’ll be listening to in my free time.
